Niche Moat ("we", "us", "our") is operated by Emporium Edge LLC, 1032 E Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511, USA. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Information we collect

Account information

• Email address, display name (you provide these).
• License key (we issue this).
• Plan, billing cycle, expiry date.
• Approximate device fingerprint (browser, OS) used for license enforcement — never raw hardware identifiers.

Usage information

• Pipeline run history: seed keywords you research, run timestamps, run status.
• Generated reports (HTML files) stored on our servers for the retention period of your plan.
• Aggregated keyword and listing data captured during runs (this data is shared anonymously across users to improve research speed — see "Shared data" below).

What we do not collect

• Your eRank or Etsy passwords. The Chrome extension uses your existing browser sessions; credentials never leave your machine.
• Payment card details. We process payments manually via JazzCash, EasyPaisa, bank transfer, PayPal, or Wise — we never store card data.
• Your private Etsy shop data, orders, or buyer information.

2. How we use information

• To deliver the service: run pipelines, store reports, enforce license limits.
• To send transactional email: license issuance, expiry reminders, payment confirmations.
• To improve the product: anonymized aggregate metrics on which features are used.
• To respond to support requests.

3. Shared data

To make the tool faster and avoid redundant scraping, Niche Moat reuses keyword and listing data captured by other users when it's still fresh (typically within 48 hours). This shared layer contains only public Etsy and eRank data — no user identities, no shop ownership, no private information. Your verdicts, runs, and reports remain private to your account.

4. Email

We send service email via Amazon SES. We do not send marketing email without explicit opt-in. You can unsubscribe from non-essential emails at any time.

5. Cookies and tracking

The dashboard at app.nichemoat.com uses essential session cookies for login. The marketing site at nichemoat.com uses no third-party tracking cookies. We may add privacy-respecting analytics (e.g. Plausible) and will update this policy if we do.

6. Data retention

• Account data: retained while your account is active and for 12 months after closure.
• Reports: retained per your plan's retention period (see Pricing).
• Run logs: 12 months.
• Anonymized aggregate keyword/listing data: indefinite, used for the shared data layer.

7. Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, correction of inaccurate data, or deletion of your account by emailing [email protected]. We comply with applicable data protection laws (including the EU GDPR and California CCPA where they apply).

8. Security

Data is stored on encrypted disks. Backups are encrypted at rest and stored in geographically separate regions. Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel. We follow standard industry practices but cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. International transfers

Servers are operated in the EU (Germany) and via Cloudflare's global network. By using the service you consent to data processing in these locations.

10. Children

Niche Moat is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced by email and on this page. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
